Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was the daughter of
Gayle (Gaston) she was an executive director for national at Mary Kay and
Freddie Wright who was a pharmacist executive. Her birthplace was San Diego,
California. At 14 years old, she started her professional career as a model.
She was a model in Paris as well as Japan. She decided to be an actress when
she finished high school. She got a role on the soap opera Santa Barbara
(1984), for which she was nominated three times for an Daytime Emmy. In the
initial season of the show she began to fall in love with co-star Dane
Witherspoon, whom she was married in 1986. Then, she appeared on The Princess
Bride (1987) as the lead character. After leaving the cast of Santa Barbara,
she got the role of the lead in Denial (1990) with Jason Patric. In the year
1990, she was playing the role of State of Grace (1990), where she met actor
Sean Penn, by whom she had a daughter, Dylan Frances, and a son, Hopper Jack.
Robin was back in Hollywood with Tara in one of the most important roles in her
career, after taking an absence. She was extremely amazing and stunning. In the
following film, she played Toys (1992) together with Robin Williams, and she
delivered a hilarious performance. In 1994, Wright was in the blockbuster
sensation Forrest Gump (1994), along with Tom Hanks. Wright was nominated for a
Golden Globe Award for her part in the film as Jenny. She was offered a minor
part in The Crossing Guard (1995), with Jack Nicholson. After declining 14
roles she played the title role of MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996), directed by
Pen Densham, and co-starring Morgan Freeman and Stockard Channing. Alongside
William Hurt, she was later featured in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997).
