Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger, was born in
Katy, Texas on April 25 the year 1969. Her mother Kjellfrid (Andreassen) is an
ex-nurse and midwife born in Norway. Kven (Finnish), in addition to being of
Swedish as well as Norwegian descent. Emil Erich Zellweger is her father. He is
a Swiss engineer. They were married in the year 1963. Drew Zellweger is Renee's
brother, and he was born on the 15th of February 1967. As a member of the drama
club, Renee became interested in acting. In Austin, she also attended an acting
course and decided to consider acting as a profession. She was determined to
pursue acting after graduation. However, Hollywood can be difficult to get into
which is why Renee decided that she would stay in Texas and audition for roles
around Houston. She found roles in films like Reality Bites (1994), and Empire
Records (1995). Matthew McConaughey was another Hollywood newcomer she met
while filming Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: The Next Generation (1994). Renee
observed him on a project which caught her attention. She auditioned , and was
offered the role in Love and A.45 (1994). The role received enough praise from
critics to decide to move to Los Angeles. Her breakthrough came from another
film role in The Whole Wide World (1996). Cameron Crowe was busy casting Jerry
Maguire (1996) which starred Tom Cruise. Crowe was considering actresses such
as Bridget Fonda and Marisa Tomei when they appeared on Zellweger's The Whole
Wide World (1996). He had a chance to audition Zellweger and was convinced he'd
found his Dorothy Boyd. After following her success in a few independent films,
Renee felt confident enough to go back to the big-budget Hollywood film
industry. She starred opposite Meryl Streep in the tear-jerker One True Thing
(1998). She also starred alongside Jim Carrey in Me, Myself & Irene
(2000) and began dating Carrey within a short time. as the lead in Bridget
Jones's Diary (2001).
