Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was the younger daughter
of media producer, mogul Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada Jones is
her elder sibling. Five half-siblings are born from her father's other
relationships. Her father is African American and her mother Ashkenazi Jewish
(a descendant emigrants of Russia and Latvia). Rashida was raised Reform
Judaism. She was born in Bel Air, Los Angeles. Jones declared that her mixed
race parents were not accepted by the general public until the 1970s. Jones was
a professional actor when she made her debut on The Last Don, a mini-series in
1997 that was based on a novel by Mario Puzo. Rashida also graduated from
Harvard University in 1997. She was a student at the Buckley School in Sherman
Oaks (California). The school awarded her the most likely to succeed. Arabic
(O+O'UO O(c)) is her name. It is a reference to "Major" adult,
grown-up and wise. On People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People"
list. (USA2002) Half-sister to Quincy Jones III and Jolie Jones. Martina Jones,
Kenya Kinski Jones, Rachel Jones, and Martina Jones. Was previously married to
Mark Ronson (music producer), 25 February 2003. Niece of Robert Lipton. Her
romantic partners include Josh Hartnett and Charlie Hunnam. She was a singer in
a Tupac Shakur tribute song, composed by Kidada Jones, her sister. Rashida and
Kidada's brother Quincy Jones III produced the track, while their father,
Quincy Jones, made an appearance reciting the lines of the song by Tupac Shakur
"Starry Night" during the introduction. The poem was the inspiration
for the title of the song. Rashida's father is African-American, but also has
smaller quantities of English, Scottish, and Welsh, family ancestry (some of
his African relatives were of the Tikar people of Cameroon). Rashida is Ashkenazi
Jewish, of Russian Jewish and Latvian Jewish descent. Her paternal
grandparents, who were both of South Carolina, and Mississippi and Mississippi,
were her paternal grandparents. Her maternal grandfather was born in New York,
and her maternal grandmother was born in Dublin, Ireland, of Eastern European
Jewish origin. As of the end of 2009, she has appeared in three different
characters using the title "Karen" on classic cult TV comedies
(Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella (2005) and The Office (2005)).
