Angeles, California in 1970. Soon after the birth of her daughter, her parents
moved to Dallas, Texas. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School
of the Performing and Visual Arts in downtown Dallas. She earned her BFA in
acting from Stephens College, and also studied at British American Drama
Academy. Furthermore, she was a part of six years at the respected Dallas
Theatre Center and one year at the theater's Encore Company. Prior to her big
screen debut, she started her acting career in theaters. The stage credits she
has had in her theatrical career include productions like "As As You Like
It", "A Funny Thing occurred on the way to the Forum",
"Measure for Measure", "Baby" and "Chicago" as
well as many more. Her breakout performance was with Angelina Jolie in Michael
Cristofer's well-known HBO telefilm Gia (1998) endearing her to critics and
audiences alike. Elizabeth showcased her charismatic performance abilities
after Frequency (2001 with Dennis Quaid) and Neil LaBute's scifi time travel
drama Nurse Betty ((2000) with Rene Zellweger). Elizabeth Mitchell has many
credits for television series, theaters, and movies. She has continued to be an
outstanding actor. While filming Frequency (2000) the actress broke her nose.
