Hannigan was born on 24 March 1974. She is an American actor and host on
television. Her credits include Willow Rosenberg (1997-2003) in Buffy the
Vampire Slayer, Lily Aldrin (2005-2014), for which she won an People's Choice
Award in 2009 and Michelle Flaherty (1999-2012). Hannigan hosts Penn Teller:
Fool Us since 2016. Teller The Fool Us since the year 2016. Hannigan is also
the voice of Claire Clancy, the animated character from Fancy Nancy
(2018-2018). Hannigan was the sole child of Emilie (Posner) Haas, an agent in
real estate and Alan Hannigan, a Teamsters worker. Hannigan's mother is Jewish
and her father is Irish. At age four, Hannigan began appearing in commercials.
When she was 11 she moved to Hollywood with her mother. While in Santa Barbara,
her father was a casting agent. She auditioned. She went to California State
University Northridge after high school. In Northridge, she was a member of the
Alpha Chi Omega sorority, and earned a psychology degree. Hannigan's first film
appearance was in the film My Stepmother Is an Alien in 1988. Seth Green was
one of her co-stars, and later was her partner on Buffy. Her first TV series
role came in 1989, when she was made an actress in the ABC sitcom Free Spirit. Hannigan
was just a teenager when she was a babysitter for the kids of Bob Saget, her
How I Met Your Mother co-star. Hannigan was later chosen to play Willow
Rosenberg, Buffy Summers her best friend in the TV show Buffy the Vampire
Slayer In 1997, she was awarded the attention of the nation. She also babysat
Bob Saget's kids in the series How I Met Your Mom. Angel had her reprise her
role in the role of Willow in a couple of episodes.
